The Child Centered Playroom
Play is the universal and most effective way that children communicate. Play is the language of children and toys are their words. The child-centered playroom at Children’s Healing Playroom is accepting, safe and predictable for children. It contains a large variety of carefully selected toys and materials for children, tweens and teens. In the playroom children learn self-control, emotional awareness, emotional regulation and problem-solving skills. They develop increased confidence and self-esteem. and learn to take responsibility for their own choices and behavior.
